This entry is lagging cos i just realised that i clicked save as draft instead of publish post. Haha. Blur me anyway here it is:
ROckafellaskank seriously rawks. Its like super cool and super exciting, the only drawback is that it is also super deafening. Anyway the old 1T11 decided to gather for the last time in CJC to watch the rock concert. And it was fantastic.
It so happened that today was also the day for CCA trials, so we waited for Serene and Jun Hoe with their choir auditions. I heard that it was super scary and Serene was like shivering and all. Then i heard teh news that Jun Hoe got shortlisted for choir, and i think Qi Bin must be really happy now that he has companions with him at choir. I really have to get into student council, i dont wish to stick to Bridge Club as it wouldnt reflect well on my report card with all the A's on it. Haha. Kiddin. Anyway i have to get loads of people to vote for me. =]. While we were waiting for the 2 of them to finish their auditions, Charlene Ping'er and Candice came too. They were really excited i must say.
So we stayed in the foyer for God knows how long and it was about time to enter the concert hall. I saw Jolyn and we started the Themis thing all over again. Haha. Then after that we were discussing about how to pass the tickets and all, then i found out that Qi Bin and Vanessa were in charge of guarding the toilets. That was so lame lar. Haha. We queued up like typical kiasu Singaporeans and we were kinda upset when they told us we had to stay in the queue for anth 10mins. We were complaining and grumbling and all until they opened the door for us. It was no easy feat to book seats for the people, we had to help about 4 others to book seats and it was so exasperating when u cant seem to find the ppl. Anyway kai chung managed to reach there in time and we were soon joking and all. The Rockafellaskank concert is really a rock concert competition sorta thing. All proceeds were said to go to some charitable organization. The hall was supposed to be for 800 ppl and since each ticket cost about $8 so i think they collected roughly $6,400? I dunno. Haha. After waiting for another 20-30 minutes the show finally began. The emcess were horrible!
The emcees introduced teh 1st grp and to our surprise/horror/shock, wyna was performing too. But she sang really well, we all clapped hands for her and cheered for her and all. Lol. Then after that 1st performances, came 2 other LOUSY performances. It was like torture to the ears lar. Then the group of gals seating behind me were like cheering super LOUDLY! My ears almost went deaf. During teh 2 perforamnces, me and kai chung cudnt stop cracking jokes about the performers. We were liek sharing them around esp with ping, since she was sitting beside me. =].
I didnt really know that the whoel thing was a competition but i really didnt care, i think it was such an easy competition cos the other teams suck. Haha. So anyway the performances turned out bttr n bttr after the horrendous performances. I was totally blown away by the last performance especially, how Cheryl could sing so well, no wonder she was in choir. Lol. Anyway obviously Cheryl's team won, den xiao an came out and said something about the other grp being bttr and all. I think he had gd sportsmanship. After the performance, we went out to wait for Qi Bin to finish his duties and then we headed for Newton Circus for supper.
There were like lots of ppl going newton circus lar. I seriouslly dun udnerstand why everyone says the food there is nice. I think it is totally lousy. The food is so common and doesnt taste anything close to the word nice and the pricing was SCARY. Can u imagine paying $2 for a cup of sugarcane when u can get it like 1/4 of the price at a hawker centre. They didnt even have air con too. Hmm. I must never go back tehre again. Later my mom called me n started preaching abt the 11pm govt curfew thing, and then i had to leave the rest and walked home all the way. I called charmaine on the phone and chatted all the way. She's so crap lar. But good way to kill time since the way home was boring and eerie. Haha. =] =] =].
